Pastel & Watercolor
The landscape is never still. Light shifts, seasons turn, shorelines erode, and familiar views slowly transform. Through my pastels and watercolors, I work to capture those fleeting moments, the atmosphere, color, and emotion of a place as it exists right now. Each piece becomes a time capsule of light and land.
I feel a deep responsibility to honor both the beauty and fragility of the natural world. By painting what moves me, I hope to invite you to pause and look closer, to cherish the environments that surround us. When we truly see a place, we are more likely to protect it. Working en plein air, with my easel set up beneath the open sky, is where I feel most alive. With the sun on my shoulders, wind moving through the grass, and insects humming nearby, I am fully present and immersed in nature. These moments of observation and connection shape every mark I make.
If you have ever felt the pull of a changing sky or the quiet power of an open field, I hope these paintings bring you back to that feeling and inspire you to keep noticing the world around you.
